Presentations

California Weekly Explorer specializes in live presentations that focus on 4th, 5th and 6th grade social studies covering the areas of California, American and Ancient World history.  These two and a half hour presentations, known as "Walk Through Programs", bring to life social studies using role play, vocabulary words, music and active participation of all students.  Thousands of classrooms have had "the field trip that comes to their school" since 1979 all over the state of California.

A classroom preparation kit is sent to you well in advance of your presentation providing all materials and instructions you will need for your class. Your students will not need to have any prior knowledge of the subjects to enjoy and profit from these presentations.

Students are divided into teams to compete for points by answering questions, memorizing vocabulary words, portraying historical figures and developing creative listening skills.

Historical flags, maps and time lines are used in the various programs to help illustrate the stories of the past. Students are encouraged to dress in costume to add to this "field trip that comes to your school™."
